The second book in the duology does not disappoint! COVEN OF CONSEQUENCE reunites it with Vampire & Witch investigators, Rorick and Quiet. This time the often dueling, dynamic duo are investigating a strange, creepy circus. And like the spooky, the laughs keep on coming with these two.

What I love the most about this series is the spooky, gothic feel of the scenes. S.L. Prater does such an excellent job of brining not only the main characters to life but the scenes are so descriptive, you feel as if you’re there. I really took a risk on this one because personally, I have a huge phobia of spiders and clown… especially CLOWNS. But, this was written so well, I laughed and swooned more than I was afraid. No spoilers… but the ending was definitely chef’s kiss!

I loved the mystery, the banter, and passion in which Rorick loved Quiet. This was such an awesome end to the series, I couldn’t have asked for better. I wouldn’t mind more books with this gothic feel, passion, sexual tension, and mystery element. Thank you S.L. Prater for giving us Rorick and Quiet!

If you’re new to this series, I highly recommend you read the first, COVEN OF ILL REPUTE to really get a feel for this couple. Its well worth it and you’ll fall in love with them like I did!
