To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
5.0
This book being my first foray into true classics in literature has deepened my hunger to read more books which are considered classics as the story is one for the ages and it deserves its place. The story which is based on a white man defending a black man for a crime he never committed and the reality of no justice served in the legal manner but served to the criminal in the deserved manner in the end. The story and its main plot starts off around half way but the slow start and development is perfectly done to keep you interested in these characters. The main character Jean is hilarious in scenes but truly loves her father and her brother Jem grows on you from a brat to a good son and the main protagonist for this novel “Atticus” is one of the best written main characters and this novel has one of the most colorful supporting characters to fit this novel throughout perfectly
