I hate that it took me so long to pick this back up but I’m glad I did because oh my gosh! I love Acevedo’s writing, she always somehow creates so many layers to the characters and the plot and the setting. Everything is always wrapped together so beautifully. In this story we follow a young girl, around 15-16, and we just follow her through her family and home life, school, church and boys. And it was just so gripping to read, X has so much drive and power and I love when she finally connects to it and really becomes an amazing young girl with a mind and opinions of her own and she starts to live in her truth! Loved this one!
