I didn’t realized how much opioids and crystal meth played a role in WWII! Drug use is tied up with virtue, worthiness, and citizenship that leads to its poor use and abuse. if you haven’t read this one, add it to your list.  From crystal meth to sugar, the Third Reich was propelled and undone by its chemical dependencies. I learned a lot from this one, even if it did make me sick to my stomach.
