This is a very ambitious plot for a short story but it really worked. I don’t even want to give away any details about the plot because the book is 100 pages, any detail is a major spoiler. By the end of this book I just felt numb and couldn’t help but to think about how cruel the government is for the way they test immigrants wanting citizenship. Seeing how Idir deals with the traumatic events was just depressingly sad. An amazing short story!
