The Body: A Guide for Occupants by Bill Bryson
4.0
(read as audiobook)
What's it about?
Its a non fiction book that describes how the body works. Starts off by talking how much it is estimated it would cost to buy all the elements that compose the human body. Then Chapter 2 talks about skin and hair, with different chapters talking about different parts of the body. Finishes with a chapter on death.
What did I think?
I really liked this book. It gave a me a sense of awe about how amazing the human body is. All these different systems, working together. Incredible. The author, Bill Bryson does a good job narrating. The book is not dry at all. Even though it is a non-fiction, it is filled with plenty of stories and characters that are interesting and contribute. I like how more obscure researchers receive attention and credit.
