Caraval by Stephanie Garber

2.0

So this is a really late review but for some reason I was thinking about this book. The beginning had a really strong start. I was intrigued on who Caraval was. When we first see the world of Caraval it gave me huge willy wonka's chocolate factory vibes; you enter this world that honestly is like a dream but the closer you look the more eerie it gets. Only the truth was it didn't get eerie at all. This really disappointed me because it kept saying you don't want to get swept to far in this fantasy world.

The mystery part of this book was a complete let down. I felt that we were trying to figure out who caraval is but when we did end up figuring out who he was it wasn't as big of a reveal as the build up. Another thing I like to add is I hated the ending it felt like everything that happened was for literally nothing. It just felt too bland. The world building was incredible but the plot fell short.
