I have a good royal story and this did that. I did find issues with the relationship between Brienna and Cartier but they also somehow grew on me by the end. Though the end did also kinda feel rushed for me. I felt like it was just so quickly concluded. I do wish it was prolonged a bit longer and had gotten more of the battle itself. The descriptions were also just amazing. From the landscape to the people to buildings. I could so vividly imagine it all making it easier to see what was happening. will say, the whole found family aspect is my favorite. Because it shows that you can choose your family. You don't have to go with the family you are born in. You get to choose. And honestly, that always makes me smile and feel all warm and fuzzy.
