This is a magical book, and Miller brings Greek mythology to life in a way I’ve never experienced before. By bringing us into the life and mind of Circe, rather than just describing what she does, Miller makes us privy to the workings and whims of the gods. And she held me firmly in her storytelling spell for the duration—even making me want to reread the mythologies that made me snooze in school. What a feat.
