Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster
5.0
Once I suspended my modern outlooks on life I really can’t to enjoy this story very much.
Judy Abbott is a foundling girl who finds herself with an unknown benefactor who sends her to college to become a writer. As the entire book is written in a series of letters from Judy to her benefactor we don’t know the motives behind his actions.
I will say I figured out who he was very early on in the story. I loved seeing her grow into such a self assured woman who wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself and forced herself to stay grounded!!
The ending was a good one -ish... I would have liked a little more to it, but overall I was pleased.
