A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen

3.0

Disappointing.

If you despise info dumping but love a gods/mythology fantasy, maybe this one is for you.

( Sorry DLJ - I tried to love it! )

- lacks context
It starts off really fast with an exciting inciting event but you don’t have the back story or world to place it in. Where is the world building?!!

- romance didn’t hit. I liked the build up but then when they do get together I was bored and it was a bit cringe.

- boring plot ‘twist’. didn’t believe the MFC’s suspects for a second. The end unravels in the last few chapter and just didn’t do anything for me. And the secondary reveal wasn’t a surprise…it was obvious.

Sad to say it’s a 2.5⭐️ for me. Not sure if I’ll pick up book 2.
