A Tik Tok sensation. Not quite sure it offered much out of the ordinary, but it was an entertaining diversion.
Our main character Jeanie is reeling after her boss is discovered dead at his desk one morning. She knows the life she’s building for herself isn’t what she wants, but she doesn’t have any other ideas. However, when her aunt gifts her The Pumpkin Spice Cafe in little Dream Harbour it’s an opportunity to try something different.
Never having run her own business before and not really knowing the area is no reason to worry. Jeanie decides to try and make this her new life…and it’s rather helped by the distraction offered by farmer Logan.
From start to finish this was something of a romance by numbers. It was entertaining reading but it really didn’t stand out in any way.
