Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult, Samantha van Leer

4.0

What could be more cool than to have a famous novelist for a mom, but then to co-author a book w/ her? Jodi's daughter, Sammy, came up with an idea, bounced it off her Mom, and away they went. Sammy was the same age as the book's main character, Delilah, 15. Only a teenager can really describe what being a teenager is like. Writing a book takes discipline and that's where Mom comes in. Without the experience, the story would not likely have held together, but it did come together quite nicely. Way to go, ladies! We may hear more from Sammy, as she comes into her own.
