Sweetdark by Savannah Brown

I have always love Savannah Brown but this collection was kind of difficult to get through. There were certain lines that I thought were profound but for the most part, the collection fell flat for me.

They didn’t flow very well in my head but I think if they were read aloud, this would fit this style of poetry better. The existentialism and nihilism was interesting but the imagery was often confusing. I found it hard to figure out what she was saying so I’m not sure if that’s my own intelligence or the subject matter was too abstract for a wider audience.
