Their Bride by Stasia Black

I voluntarily received a copy of this ARC for review

This series is the first I’ve ever read of the “Reverse Harem” genre and I love it.
This book is just as great if not better than the first two. (Sometimes in series things get worse, but no, this one is good.)

The story keeps me interested and the steamy aspects of the novel are so very hot.

Vanessa has never really been loved. She was not the favorite child in her family, and then she was on her own for years trying to survive in a world where women are scarce, running from slavers and cannibals.

All she knows about Jacob’s Mill is that women are treated like queens and are given five husbands to protect them. Much to her dismay her lottery goes a bit strangely and she ends up with five men who want nothing to do with her initially.

Much like the other books in the series I find myself coming to really like all of the husbands equally. In this one it’s Camden – the former frat boy, Michael – a reporter with Sensory Processing Disorder, Ross – the sensitive “mama’s boy” of the identical red-headed twins who still aspires to qualify as an Eagle Scout, Riordan – the more wild twin who has a very strong sense of adventure, and Logan – a moody member of the security force still mourning his wife from before the Fall.

As a note about the characters – I have always appreciated how in this series there’s a rotating POV between the six of them.

I can’t wait for more installments in the series! I’m very interested to see where the story is going after all of the developments about the political situation in post-Fall Texas. That sentence may sound a little boring for a romance novel, but for me a good romance novel keeps me interested in a couple of aspects.

This book delivers with drama and romance while still somehow feeling believable. I say somehow because a five guy and one woman romance novel is not exactly your mother’s romance novel.
