The Housemaid's Secret by Freida McFadden

4.0

I just been reading books for almost 24 hours straight so now I'm just trying to get caught up on reviews. I thought the sequel was good but like a a little bit off because there was just a plot hole I thought didn't really make a lot of sense. Also this book kind of lacked something unlike book #1 in the series. Full review to come.

Full review: We not follow Millie several years later after the events of the first book. Millie is still working as a maid (well sort of) she's been newly fired again and looking for a job. She has a new boyfriend, Brock, though she misses her ex, Enzo. When she gets a call from a man called Mr. Douglas Garrick, she finds out that she's supposed to cook and clean, and not disturb his wife. But when Millie starts to worry about what is going on with Mrs. Wendy Garrick, she finds she may have to use the services she has provided to past clients....and Mr. Garrick won't see it coming.

So Millie is once again down on her luck. She's determined to go to school and become a social worker. Due to that she's short on funds and willing to go and work for the Garricks though she senses something is wrong with the couple. She also has not told her new boyfriend about her past and is reluctant to move in with him and be something more.

I thought the plot twists we get are good (not quite as great as book #1), but I had to say that there's a plot hole that didn't really get resolved in my opinion. And I thought the ending felt a bit too unrealistic to me. I can't believe the police would have been all, yep this makes sense.
