Gosh, this might just be one of those "I missed the boat on being the target demo" things, but even then...
Good stuff: pretty outfits, the clow cards themselves are fun, gals being pals.
Bad stuff: freak of the week formula, no overarching antagonist in sight, the initial exposition dump was like watching paint dry.
Really bad stuff: the main character's father married his wife when he was her twenty-five-year-old teacher and she was his sixteen-year-old student and the framing is not nearly as critical as it should be.
??? stuff: the middle schooler main character has a crush on a high schooler which on its own would be fine, kids often idolize teenagers, but in combination with the age gap thing her parents had going on... yeesh. There's hinting at him actually being her older brother's boyfriend, but I can't be sure at this point.
I don't have much interest in continuing with this series, unfortunately, unless something crazy happens to change the status quo.
