I enjoyed the dictionary strand with Poppy's vignettes and learning the meaning of some aboriginal words, but the other two: Greenleaf's letter and August's present-day story didn't work for me. It felt that too many issues were crammed into one story and I was hit over the head with them. I also wasn't sure about how the whole of it came together and the land was saved. 2.5 stars
