The Lovely: I enjoyed the FMC’s dynamic with the males and loved their interactions with each other. Too often we see much of the focus be on the FMC’s relationships with her pack so it was nice in this case to see how the males treated each other (especially since there wasn’t a pre-existing pack structure).
The Mundane: While common in omegaverse, I didn’t love how insta-love this was, especially since the FMC is grappling with the loss of her brother that she hadn’t seen in 15+ years.
Recommendation: I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. This heartfelt but sweet story was a fun read and I appreciate there was an underlying villain in the plot. This provided a bit of a break from the romance. I definitely plan to read more books in this series, especially any that contain this subtle hurt/comfort vibe.
