The one who got away trope always wins me over and this book was fantastic! Grady and Scottie were best of friends in high school. They drift apart after college and Grady gets picked up to play major league baseball. They eventually lose contact. Fast forward years later and they are back in the same hometown and the tension!!! It was like the secret crushes they had for each other as kids came right back but so much stronger.
