this was a one sitting read because I felt that if I put it down it was not getting picked back up again, you know what I mean.
I loved reading about this extremist religious ecofascist cult's Messiah who is just a trans kid who's been genetically modified to become a seraphim-esque creature that will be able to control the zombie-like creatures that the aforementioned cult created as their own little mass extinction event to deal with overpopulation PHEW THAT WAS A LOT
if you can get over that info dump and the sheer amount of people you have to keep track of (1 primary POV, 2 secondary POV, like 7-8 named and in some way important side characters) and can handle GORE SO MUCH OF IT VERY EXPLICITLY DESCRIBED GORE then hey. give this beautiful living life as a trans person book a try (/j that's a joke (although there's a lot of analysis and comparison to be done about our MC Benji's relationship with gender and their final form of the seraph) anyway /j read this book)
