I was expecting so much better since the first book was good but this was pure torture. Literally.

The amount of torture scenes these main characters, Skylenna and Dessin are put through throughout the entire book is insane and completely unnecessary.

It was ridiculous, repulsive, and repetitive to the point I had to put it down.

I truly don’t know what happened. The story also got completely lost with barely any mention of her sister’s death (which is the main conflict of the first book).
