Europe, Through the Back Door by Rick Steves
5.0
Twenty years ago when Tish insisted on going to Europe and I had no desire, this was the book that got me to go. I remember it as something that inspired me and got me excited to go.
This time around, I find it to be a rather straight-forward book of all sorts of practical advice. Much less inspiring, much more nuts & bolts. Which is not to complaint, but a compliment. It's surprising that the book is so useful on both levels.
