To say I am devastated is an understatement. Seeing Xaden and Violets relationship grow into one of trust as Xaden’s trust of himself crumbles is so sad and yet so hopeful. As toxic as it may be, possessive Xaden was very hot!

Ridoc kept everything light and was the best comic relief. I liked getting more of him in this book, but the rest of the iron squad were barely in the book. I am disappointed in the lack of screen time for sawyer Rhiannon and Jesinia when they had been a bigger part of the previous book. The spotlight that Ridoc got makes me very nervous for his longevity in the series. 

This was primarily a world building book, so if that’s not your cup of tea, you will be bored. I’m so excited to build more theories and analyze the finer details in rereads.
