This wasn’t as good at the first book. The over use of the word mate was annoying. When Gavril finds out his brother Evren betrayed him and the fae kingdom by kidnapping Adaria, as reader we don’t know how he found out at all. What happened to Evren once Gavril found out the betrayal? Evren is back at the blood kingdom mostly drained of blood, but what exactly happened to him. We don’t get any of those answers. Pretty much the story is Adaria training with Thalia and having love hate sex with Evren. I expected more from the story besides a lot of sex.
