Exit Strategy by Martha Wells

4.0

"Never change a winning SecUnit," Martha Wells must have thought when crafting the (temporary) finale of her Murderbot series. "Exit Strategy" delivers a satisfying conclusion to the initial arc of Murderbot's journey. The book is funny, action-packed, and consistent in tone with its predecessors.

Murderbot continues to evolve, grappling with the emotions that come with self-awareness and free will. While the other characters don't show much development, this series isn't about deep character exploration or intricate plots. Instead, it's an entertaining story that offers more of what fans love.

For most readers, this consistency is a delight, considering the success of the series. However, I find myself yearning for a bit more depth in future installments.
