The Inconvenient Indian: A Curious Account of Native People in North America by Thomas King
5.0
Thomas King skillfully explains the gross injustices perpetrated against the First Nations in North America over the last several hundred years (and continuing to this day). He does it in a casual, easily ingestable style, often using sarcasm (I don't blame him). I learned alot and feel sick about the crimes we have committed against these people groups in the arrogant name of capitalism and Christianity. If you like books with happy endings, this ain't it. Never-the-less, the truth can hurt and this is a must read for all Canadians (and Americans). I highly recommend the illustrated edition.
