Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli

I have almost no complaints about this book. I really had to step in Leah’s shoes for most of this, so it was a strange ride for me. But I liked it. My personal experience has been more towards what Abbey S. has experienced and I think it was played out really well. There were times however I found myself thinking Leah might have been going a little too far (with being jerkish) and she got a little too whiny at times.
I also thought her relationship with Simon had to be a little more significant b/c they’ve been friends since they were kids. I felt at times like he was one of her new friends and not as close to her as he thinks. I thought this especially when she started having issues with her bandmates.
