Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

4.0

The inner dialogue. The personal justification. The societal and historical macro justification. The poor, women, and children trapped by circumstance and desperation. The evil genius detective/psychologist. The young innocent victim who can only be redeemed so far. All these are handled with satisfying complexity.

Note on the audio: Well done with helpful pronunciation of long names and minor voice changes to help sort the various characters addressing each other with different variants due to cultural deference. Good dramatization of climax points without making the words obscure.
