I’m annoyed at how much I loved this.
I totally understand why some people DNFed it- I can see how it wouldn’t be everyone’s taste, and agree the writing isn’t like award winning by any means. But the content, the tension, the cool magic and world building and well rounded characters made up for it.

It felt like the perfect enemies to lovers for me! I love this level of banter and that light seasoning of some juicy shit right away keeps me hooked.
How am I supposed to wait for the next one!?
