10 Things That Never Happened by Alexis Hall
5.0
This book is pure chaotic gay energy wrapped in a rom-com package. 10 Things That Never Happened delivers on humor like no other, with the lead character serving sass and the supporting cast dripping in sarcasm and irony. If you’re here for the laughs, you’re in for a treat.
That said, compared to Boyfriend Material and Husband Material, this one stumbles a bit. The plot struggles to find a rhythm, and the relationship between the leads? Let’s just say it’s giving toxic situationship. Some chapters feel totally out of left field—but who cares when the jokes still land?
Oh, and the cherry on top? A fabulous Mariah Carey reference hidden in there for the gays and lambily among us. Overall, it’s messy, it’s camp, and it’s fun—a solid 4/5 + one extra star for satisfying this lamb
