The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez
3.0
Normally, every Abby Jimenez book blows it out of the water, but i find myself only being able to give The Friend Zone a 3.5. I’ve been reading her books backwards and inside out, and I’ve adored every single one except for this one. I love how much effort and research Abby puts into her characters- Kristen has OCD and struggles with infertility, for example. But I found myself so utterly annoyed by Kristen’s refusal to be loved and to communicate.
Kristen and Josh are the maid of honor and best man in the upcoming nuptials of their mutual friends, and while Josh needs a side gig, Kristen needs a new carpenter. They form a friendship, which then gets some benefits added to it, and after that grows more and more complicated with the additions of some outside stressors.
Stuntman Mike was the star of the novel in my eyes tbh
