The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

5.0

Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.

When I read the synopsis of John Green's A Fault in Our Stars, I told myself I shouldn't read it. You see, I'm a pediatric oncology nurse. And I chose that profession because I lost a friend to cancer when we were just fourteen. Why on God's green Earth would I want to read a book about two cancer ridden teens? I mean really, why? I work with these teens. I've held their hands and cried with them and their families, why would I read this book? The answer is simple....one of my patients, a tumor-ridden teen told me I should.
I was blown away by the simplistic, beautiful bluntness of Green's writing. I loved his characters dark Gallows humor and I loved how well he captured their hopes and fears. I feel this a must read for anyone and everyone.
