The System: The Glory and Scandal of Big-Time College Football by Armen Keteyian, Jeff Benedict
1.0
If you need to be told that big-time college football features both glory and scandal, as the subtitle of this book has it, save yourself the $22.95 and just read the subtitle. The point of the book seems to be that you'll be willing to shell out $22.95 for a deep reporting of the obvious. I suspect that the authors hoped more would come out of their unparalleled access, but, alas, not much more is in evidence. There's good stuff and bad stuff - 394 pages of it. And since no bigger point emerges, that, my friends, is bad, not good.
