Scarlett by Cassie Lein, Alisha Williams, Alisha Williams
5.0
I don't even know where to start with Scarlett. A virgin before she is to be married off to a mafia man. And Emerson, a mafia man who is bisexual that cannot keep his male partner, Alister, when he is married to his arranged wife. Neither person WANTS this, neither person KNOWS who they are getting married to. BUT they both end up in the Wicked Temptations Key Party and amazing things happen. HOT things happen. Phew do they. Haha. And the next time they see each other? Well. The hot things don't stop!
I ADORE Scarlett. She's snarky, strong, holds her head high despite the cards she's been dealt, and doesn't give a flying eff what anyone says. I LOVE her witty banter with people she doesn't like (you'll find out more later about this) but my favorite interaction looked like this:
"Furthermore, while you may think I'm not attractive enough for X, and that's your prerogative, I'd rather be a less appealing woman than the bombshell B**** you've slated yourself as."
