The last book in the Wayfarers series was like the previous ones an absolute joy to read. They always feel like such cozy fantasies and make me feel happily safe and queer for a little while.
I do have to say though, that while this book was utterly sweet and fun, it didn't hit as emotional as the previous ones did to me. It definitely had it's high and lows, but it just didn't hit as hard. I might be too harsh in my rating in that sense. That as the previous ones were so perfect, and this didn't hit the same I can't give it 5 stars, but if book 1 to 3 didn't exist I might have.
I want to say as well that I really enjoyed the characters in this book too. It was interesting that there was no human around in this story and it's characters were totally made up of other species. That was a lot of fun though because it gave a lot of worldbuilding to the other novels to learn about those. I loved knowing more about Aeluons through Pei. I absolutely adore her and it was so great to follow her along. I really wish I had some more chapters with her, but as there isn't I've been debating past week to maybe just write a short fanfiction piece myself.
I also really enjoyed Speaker. She is such an earnest character just trying to do good, but puts herself so much to the side for that. Yep I loved that flaw simply because it was relatable to me.
The other characters were great too and there were so many swedt interactions I have a lot hoghlighted.
In conclusion this was a great book and I'm really grateful for all the good feelings it gave me.
