The Hundred Loves of Juliet by Evelyn Skye
5.0
This book is absolute perfection for me!! I loved the retelling of star crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet. It’s a sweet romance story, nothing to crazy adventurous or spicy. It is just a great love story— there is love, sadness, heartache but most of all love. It will leave you with all the feels. Helene decides to leave her husband after he has been unfaithful to her and just does not treat her well. She moves to Alaska rents and airbnb and decides to work on a novel. One of her first nights there she is in a local pub and sees a man that she has envisioned since childhood. Enter Sebastien the grumpy fisherman. Through time and Helene’s persistence she learns more about him and why he is acting the way he is around her but nice to everyone else in town. She also learns some history of her past as Juliet. I love the way the story unfolds. I love the mixing in of last love stories and how they came to be, met and loved. If you were a fan of Addie LaRue or Time Travelers Wife. I think both those have similar styles to this story. However this story is very u Jair and different not like something I have read before. It was refreshing. Many thanks to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine, Del Rey and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
