Junk Science and the American Criminal Justice System by M. Chris Fabricant
good read. took me embarrassingly long to finish thanks to summer classes. i do have some critiques but they're relatively small. for instance, i do wish that references to the 'notes' section existed within the text itself. as someone who grew up with shows like criminal minds, this book helped me learn a lot more about the legal system and the pseudoscience often used within it. incredibly terrifying and sad. another note: kind of hate that this is labeled as true crime when true crime perpetuates so many of the myths discussed in this book
