I did it. I finally bit my bullet and started to read the Mistborn original trilogy. I don’t know why it took me so long to pick the final book up (yes I do, it’s my aversion to commitment and knowing there are still several more books waiting for me in the mistborn timeline, let alone the dozen more of the same universe).

This is probably my favourite trilogy I've ever read, and while some tidbits nagged me every once in a while
such as the Lord Rulers actions being slightly overlooked when he'd caused so much harm, and the stress of knowing so many things that sects of other characters were ignorant of, this happened a couple of times and it made me want to scream
on the whole I was invested at every turn and the ending was perfect.

There's just no way I could put into words how emotionally attached I got to the characters without spoiling their endings, just that I was gripping my pearls terrified that any one of them could die and I knew it would shatter me.
