4☆ Review:
Considering today’s current events, this dystopian doesn’t feel as far fetched as it did when I read it originally back in middle school.
While still unlikely, the arguments around the topic of abortion is so heavily debated that something as drastic as this isn’t all that surprising.
That being said, this “solution” to pro-choice vs pro-life is a crazy one. But, it kept me invested.
Each character was interesting in their own ways, Lev particularly for me.
I do think the romance was a little forced and unnecessary, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book.
I recommend that everyone give this book a chance!
P.S. Many reviews talk about how a “certain scene” towards the end was too much, but it was an event that, honestly, I was morbidly curious about and actually liked that it was included. Also it’s the scene that I still remembered vividly from middle school and what made me want to pick it up again.
