4.25
Graphic: Xenophobia, Alcohol, and War
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Alcoholism, Child death, Drug use, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Violence, Blood, Grief, Colonisation, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Suicide
The rape, sexual abuse, and adult/minor relationships stem primarily from one side character and does not directly impact the main characters. We don’t see the rape as it happens but do see the aftermath. Though the main characters aren’t there they are responsible for putting the child in danger in the first place. It’s for a plot to take down the rapist as he is one of the brothers going for the throne and the kid ends up dying. It’s horrific and ends up being a turning point in character arcs as the main characters come to terms with the things they are willing to do for the throne.
It isn’t mentioned for more than a few chapters and can be skipped.
