Atlantic Ghosts: Tales from the Haunted Coast by Bee Stanton

fast-paced

3.5

Sparked by the author's love of Inktober, this book is a collection of beautiful pen-and-ink illustrations paired with some of Atlantic Canada's infamous, spooky folklore. The tales themselves were entertaining, split between the heartwarming and the ominous, but often felt too short to really fall into, but the drawings added a depth that I really appreciated. Overall an enjoyable and interesting look at the haunted coast and ghosts of the North Atlantic.
