ARC Review

In a world where the gods have left the mortal realm. Ferra, wanting to show her the woman that left her that she is still worth it, makes a deal with a God to become beautiful. What she doesn’t expect is to be turned into porcelain. Captured for what seems to be her own protection she is locked in in a tower. A few months later Ferra breaks out  to enlists the help of  captain Brig, a banished Orc captain from the Flotilla, to help her get to Auteur to show her ex how beautiful she has become and the lengths she has gone for her.

On the way there and throughout their journey together the two start falling for each other, despite their differences. Even when Ferra is trying to win back her lost love.

This has massive Touch her and you die vibes. I also really liked how the book talked about not changing for love and just being yourself.

This adventurous sapphic graphic novel feels like pirates of the Caribbean but sapphic meets beauty and the beast meets dnd. With a villain that feels like Emperor belos and a lgbtqia+ cast of characters this graphic novel was the perfect way to start out the new year!
