The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

HOLY CRAP. This one slapped hard and very painful. Once again I finish the Mistborn series DROWNING in tears. This book not only follows the main characters' struggle against the threat on Scadrial, but it also includes the entire Cosmere universe. It is the most satisfying payoff for catching up on all the Cosmere books, and this particular Sanderlanch was truly EPIC.
Yet, of course, the main stars of this era definitely take the spotlight - Wax and Wayne's bromance is some of the best I have encountered and I am going to miss them both a lot. Steris too, as she is the most relatable character for me. And even Marasi who finally stepped out of the Wax's shadow in this book. And not to spoil anything, but I was really gobsmacked and properly surprised by some of the appearances and I absolutely loved it.
And once again, WAYNE. This is one of the best characters written by Brandon so far. I absolutely adore him. His POV was the most interesting for me through the whole series, his impersonating thing, his peculiar thought process, crazy yet witty quips, and all wrapped up in such a beautiful, wholesome soul and personality. His arc in this book... Speechless.
I am filled with emotions, theories, and suspicions about certain characters and the overall direction of the upcoming series. The threads left for us to unravel leave me both excited and worried. I am out of words at how far we have come from the original trilogy and how certain connections have developed. And how frustrating it is to talk about this book without spoilers. My dear friend, I am waiting for you to catch up, so I can talk your ears off :D

P.S. Do not repeat my mistake and catch up on the whole Stormlight before starting this book
