This was a heavily character driven story where things are happening, but also nothing is happening. It is easy to get bored with works like this sometimes when the characters aren't appealing enough to engage the reader, and I personally found both Kaija and Minna frustrating in different ways.
I don't think this was a bad book, but I would be hard pressed to say I was actively enjoying reading it.
