I asked my school librarian for an uplifting book, and she delivered! I like how multi-layered all the characters are. The bad girl has a sympathetic scene, the good characters can be mean, and it takes work to learn how to read in a different way. The teacher inspires me to be a better teacher to those who struggle in class.
