How to Be a Bad Birdwatcher by Simon Barnes

I felt like the last half of the book was much better than the first.

Pro:
- if you live in England and you're into birds, you will enjoy this book
- it's not scientific at all, even the basics of bird behavior are explained simple, so it's a book for everyone.

No:
- I've never been to England or Africa, which are the main countries focussed on. Therefore most examples didn't do it for me
- Most of the chapters felt stretched and boring, tbh. You could have summed them up in 1-2 pages, if you only focuse on the main statements
- It was TOO simple for me, I wished there would be ... well, more knowledge, more science. For example I really liked the mentioning of specific sentences to recognize the calling of a species. That should have been more elaborated.
- Sometimes this book felt like an autobiography. And yes, this might be charming for a lot of readers to get to know bits of the personal life of the author (mostly combined with birdwatching), but for me - and I really don't know the author at all - it was unneccessary.

To sum it up: I feel if you're not looking for a more detailed, rather scientific book about birdwatching, if you are more invested with the author, I think you will like this book.
For me it was only okay.
