King by S.J. Tilly

King is the second installment to Alliance series. We met King in Nero, which made me exited for this story. If you like mafia books with possessive heroes, I'd definitely give this series a try.
Savannah had no idea she was dating someone else's husband until his wife and brother in law happened to be in her friend's house just when she showed up to the dinner with said boyfriend. She was already thinking of breaking up with him before this all happened, so she wasn't that heartbroken when she sees King kill him. Savannah would've just preferred not to get kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend's brother in law.
King might have kidnapped Savannah but I adored him. I think the only time he made me want to hit my head to something was when he was trying to do the "right" thing. He made Savannah marry him for his reasons but he really believed in her unlike her family and even gave her a home studio. If that isn't swoon worthy, then what is?
Just like in Nero, we got a pet in this book but I actually like the dog. It might be because King already had him or because he liked Savannah right away and was just as protective as King.
King was a good book about a mafia guy kidnapping a girl he wanted but like pretty much every kidnapper book, it took forever for the kidnapped part to give in to her feelings.
