I LOVE THE MARTIAN. This is one of the most refreshing books I've read in a very long time. Its balance of humor with the tragic/often traumatic situations of Mark Watney being stuck on Mars had me in fits of five-minute laughter as well as sobbing sessions. I unfortunately watched the movie first, so I knew what was going to happen, but just the same I liked the book better than watching the movie still. A MUST-READ.
