As always, I enjoy the narration and writing style of this book (like with the first) most. And mostly the plot worked for me. But there was a couple of times that characters really picked up the idiot ball, particularly with the plan for
Dexter's engagementparty. Like really, Doakes just went outside by himself and thought he'd be fine?? That somehow alcohol and dunk idiots wouldn't derail shit? Okay.
